Two awards for “Giorni e nuvole” in Moscow

The jury of the 30th Moscow International Film Festival (June 19-28, 2008) awarded a “Silver George” to Margherita Buy, the leading actress of the film “Giorni e nuvole”. Silvio Soldini, the director of the Swiss-Italian co-production, received the “Vogue International” prize from Nikita Mikhalkov, festival director, for the film’s elegance and style.
“Giorni e nuvole” is a family drama set in Genoa. It was co-produced by Amka Film (Ticino), which had also co-produced the blockbuster comedy “Pane e tulipani” in 2000. “Giorni e nuvole” was screened for the first time at international film festivals in Toronto and Rome in 2007. Following a successful career in cinemas, it was honoured with two “David di Donatello” Italian film prizes in April 2008. “Giorni e nuvole” will be presented in the “Appellations Suisse” section at the 61st Locarno International Film Festival.
