Two awards for “Hell” at festival in Sitges (Spain)

Tim Fehlbaum’s feature film “Hell,” a German-Swiss coproduction (Vega Film, Zurich), was honoured with the award for Best Cinematography and a Special Mention at the 44th Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia (October 6-16, 2011).

Tim Fehlbaum’s feature film “Hell,” a German-Swiss coproduction (Vega Film, Zurich), was honoured with the award for Best Cinematography and a Special Mention at the 44th Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia (October 6-16, 2011).

The five-member Festival Jury congratulated Tim Fehlbaum and his cinematographer Markus Förderer for their accomplished cinematography. The film depicts three young people in their struggle for survival while searching for water in a drought-stricken and apocalyptic world. In addition, the Jury of the Golden Méliès, comprised of three well-known filmmakers, presented "Hell" with a Special Mention.

The film has already won awards at festivals in Munich and Nuremberg and has been released to German cinemas. It can be seen in cinemas in German-speaking Switzerland as of Thursday, October 20, 2011 (Vega Distribution).

Eight feature-length and short film productions from Switzerland were screened at the 44th edition of the festival in Sitges. The festival is accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF) and is the most important worldwide for the fantasy films genre
