Two Swiss film productions won the main awards in the Documentary Film competition at the 7th Golden Apricot Film Festival in Yerevan (July 11-18, 2010): the Golden Apricot, endowed with 2,600 dollars, went to the film “Together” by Russian director Pavel Kostomarov and Swiss producer Elena Hill; the Silver Apricot went to the multi-award-winning film “Die Frau mit den 5 Elefanten” by Vadim Jendreyko.

Fourteen documentary film productions participated in the festival competition, which presented a selection of international and Armenian film productions. Two of the five members in the jury for documentary film were Luciano Barisone, festival director from Nyon, and Edouard Waintrop from Fribourg.

The 50-minunte film "Together" portrays the fantasy world of an artist couple from Russia who live in a house in the middle of nowhere and whose love appears to be eternal. Pavel Kostomarov collaborated with Swiss director Antoine Cattin to create the internationally acclaimed films "Transformator" (2003), "Vivre en paix" (2004) and "La mere" (2007), all of which were coproduced by Elena Hill (Les Films Hors-Champ). The award in Yerevan marks the eleventh international award for the film "Die Frau mit den 5 Elefanten", which was honoured with the Quartz Swiss Film Prize 2010 for Best Documentary Film.
