Leni Glanzmann est une boulangère de 55 ans extrêmement consciencieuse. Tous les matins, elle se lève à trois heures et accompagne son fils dans le fournil pour produire le pain, jusqu’au moment où celui-ci trouve enfin une femme et reprend la boulangerie. Mais voilà que Toni Alvarez, le professeur de danse argentin, apparaît et bouleverse sa vie.
