Que se passerait-il si, tout d’un coup, vous n’étiez plus vous-même? C’est le genre de situation déroutante, angoissante, mais aussi un peu grisante, à laquelle quelques personnes sont diversement confrontées lorsqu’un beau jour, un inoffensif ingénieur électricien achète un petit téléphone mobile tout aussi inoffensif. Les appels qu’il reçoit sur son nouveau téléphone sont destinés ä une autre personne, et les appels qu’il passe provoquent toute une série de catastrophes, grandes et petites, en particulier l’anéantissement d’au moins une carrière, un mariage et une vie. Peu à peu, des gens totalement étrangers s’immiscent dans la vie les uns des autres.
