Imaginons que nous nous réveillions un beau matin et que toute la musique ait disparu. Tout simplement disparu. Que nous resterait-il si tout avait disparu, les disques, les iPods, les instruments? Si nous ne savions plus ce que c’était la musique? Bill Drummond nous en donne une petite idée. L’homme qui s’est autrefois emparé de l’industrie de la pop avec son groupe «The KLF». Un esprit anarchique, un punk éternel, qui aujourd’hui dirige le chœur le plus grand du monde, qu’il appelle «The17»: un ensemble variable d’amateurs, sans partitions et sans répétitions. Le film accompagne Bill Drummond dans sa quête permanente de nouvelles voix pour son chœur: en plein champ ou dans une usine, dans une classe ou dans un pub. C’est un voyage vers le point zéro de la musique. Pour nous permettre de la réinventer en toute innocence. Ensemble, à cet instant.
