Après 20 ans d'exil près de Genève, à Versoix, Ustad Hossein Arman, chanteur populaire Afghan, retourne à Kaboul pour participer en tant que juré à l'émission «Afghan Star». Il y cherche les traces d'un passé heureux, époque inimaginable dans ce pays ravagé par les guerres. Ce film est l'occasion unique de découvrir Kaboul hors des sentiers de l'actualité.
