Biography
Born in 1961 in Zurich, Switzerland. 1978-79 Exchange student in Pennsylvania, USA. 1985-88 Attends the Theatre Academy of Zurich. Since 1989 works as an independent film and theatre director. 2002 Awarded Swiss Film Prize, Best Fiction Film for “Utopia Blues”. 2008-10 President of the Swiss Filmmakers Association. 2007-12 Member of the SWISS FILMS Board of Trustees.

Seit 1989 als Regisseur und freischaffender Filmemacher tätig. 2002 Schweizer Filmpreis, Bester Spielfilm «Utopia Blues». 2008-10 Präsident Verband Filmregie und Drehbuch Schweiz. 2007-12 Mitglied des Stiftungsrates von SWISS FILMS.
