Born in 1980 in Berlin, Germany. 2008 Master in Social Anthropology from Freie Universität Berlin. 2014 Doctorate from the University of Zurich. Since 2014 research associate in Media Anthropology at the University of Bern. Her Ph.D. film CHILDREN OF SRIKANDI (2012) premiered at the Berlinale and has been screened at numerous international film festivals. TASTE OF HOPE (2019) was her debut documentary as sole director. It premiered at Visions du Réel in Nyon and won the Prix ZONTA and the SSA/SUISSIMAGE Jury Award for most innovative Swiss feature film. She also works as a producer at Srikandi Productions.
