The main task of the SWISS FILMS is the individual promotion of current professional feature-length fiction and documentary films for the cinema and television. SWISS FILMS works hand-in-hand with producers and filmmakers to cover the entire scope of promotion. It is often necessary to begin gaining attention for the upcoming film already during the shooting. As a rule, the mutual task begins with an initial, personal consultation – in case the film is already finished, then in line with preconceived plans. Working together as partners, the aim is to outline the steps which are necessary to place the film in the center of interest: with the public, with the media, with festival delegates and with film buyers.

SWISS FILMS has made it a priority to provide quick and professional insight into current filmmaking – primarily with the organisation of stands and staff presence at selected film festivals and professional film markets, and with their own personal experience. In addition, this focus is sharpened with individual screenings, press coverage, event management and maintaining contacts throughout the entire year.
