The SWISS FILMS catalogue presents a selection of new SWISS FILMS produced for the cinema and television which are intended for international screening at festivals, in the cinema and on television.
An edition of 8,000 copies in two volumes «Fiction & Documentary» and «swiss shorts» is published annually, introducing approximately 110 new films of all genres and formats which have either already been produced or are still in production. |

SWISS FILMS compiles essential data on new SWISS FILMS and makes it available to other institutes and the public. Data on 2976 films can be accessed with the search engine. |

Reserve of prints |
||
SWISS FILMS acquires prints of new films for festivals and film programs and maintains a reserve of prints, which is instrumental in promoting the presence of Swiss filmmaking abroad. |

SWISS FILMS has acquired prints of about 5000 swiss films (from 1923 until present) which are available in different languages (with subtitles) for monographs or thematic programs. The film prints are preserved and managed by Cinémathèque Suisse. |
