Catherine McGilvray
Screenwriter, Director
Born in 1965 in Rome, Italy. Italo-Australian film director and screenwriter.
She graduated in Theatre and Cinema Studies at La Sapienza University of Rome, then in Film Direction at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia of Rome (1993) and followed a Scriptwriting course at Australian film and Television School of Sydney, Australia. She has worked since 1993 as a screenwriter for tv series, radio programs, and films. She wrote and directed many short films, among which the multi-awarded WAITING FOR THE TRAIN and MIRANDA'S JOURNEY. She co-wrote and directed the feature film L’IGUANA, which premiered at Torino Film Festival in 2004.
