Un facteur doit livrer un paquet à Impedimenta, un petit endroit perdu au milieu de nulle part. Durant son voyage, il manque d'écraser une fillette de 11 ans avec sa voiture. Il comprend ensuite que la fillette disparue il y a longtemps, n'a en fait jamais été retrouvée…
