Après dix ans de construction, le musée M+, chef-d'œuvre des architectes bâlois Herzog & de Meuron, ouvre ses portes. Le mécène Uli Sigg a fait don au musée d'importantes œuvres d'art chinoises contemporaines. Le film met en lumière le rôle du musée et de la scène artistique dans le débat sur l'avenir de Hong Kong.
