Le film raconte l'histoire d'un choc culturel entre un village de montagne suisse et un gourou indien rendu célèbre par les Beatles. L'arrivée de Maharishi Mahesh Yogi et de son mouvement spirituel a provoqué des remous dans ce village agricole catholique dans les années 1970. Le film retrace pour la première fois cette histoire surprenante, depuis l'arrivée du gourou jusqu'à aujourd'hui et à l'avenir de Seelisberg.
