Paulo Carneiro
Director, Producer, Screenwriter, Editor
Born in 1990 in Pontinha, suburbs of Lisbon, Portugal. He graduated in Sound and Image from ESAD.CR and later from the National Film School and HEAD - Genève (Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation fellow). Since 2011 works as assistant director and editor. 2021 Lectured Cinema as visiting professor at FLUC (University of Coimbra). In 2018 directs his first feature film BOSTOFRIO, OÙ LE CIEL REJOINT LA TERRE (IndieLisboa), multi-awarded and shown in more than 40 international film festivals around the world. In 2019 it was released in Portuguese cinemas in several cities and is acclaimed by the critic's as “top 10 films of the year” for Jornal Público (most cultural newspaper in PT). BOSTOFRIO reached more than half a million spectators globally (festivals, TVs, cinemas, streaming, etc).
