Born in 1944 in Abadan, Iran. Joint Swiss and Iranian citizenship. 1966 BSc. in Engineering from Jundi Shapour University. 1971 MA in Applied Statistics from Utah State University. 1974 Ph.D. in Statistics and Biometry from Oregon State University. Self-taught photographer and painter. Former Professor and Chair of Statistics at University of Neuchatel.
