Jean-Guillaume Sonnier
Producer, Director, Screenwriter
Born in 1988 in France. Graduated from the Film Studies department of ECAL (École Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne) and worked in numerous positions on both short and long films at Box Productions, Rita Productions, Bande à part Films and Casa Azul Films. Since 2012 he has been Head of Production and Distribution for the Bachelor degree film programme at ECAL and for the Masters film programme at ECAL/HEAD. His first short film SHABBAT, DIEU MERCI! was directed in 2010. À QUOI TU JOUES (2011) won the prize for Best Swiss Newcomer and his medium-length film PETIT HOMME (2014) won him a Leopard award, both at the Locarno Film Festivals. His medium-length film TUFFO (2021) was nominated for a Swiss Film Award. He is currently working on his first feature-length film.
