Born in 1982 in Saint John, Canada. Canadian citizenship. Has spent more than 15 years working in the field of documentary film throughout Europe and North- and South America, as filmmaker, editor, and festival programmer. 2005 BA in Communication Studies and Liberal Arts from Concordia University in Montreal. 2009 MA in Cultural Studies from the Freie Universität Berlin. 2014 PhD from Universidade Federal Fluminense, Università degli Studi di Bergamo and Paris III – Sorbonne Nouvelle.
