Social welfare worker Stalder knows the secret code for luck: a strategy that promises unbelievable returns for investors. He obtains millions by fraud and conquers women's hearts by storm. After a bagatelle brings about his downfall, more and more personalities emerge from behind the mask of the respectable citizen: the unscrupulous swindler, the sex-hungry womanizer, the penitent family man. Nothing is really as it appears.
