Fredy, a 4-year-old mutt, languishes his life away hopelessly in a kennel. It seems as if he has won the lottery jackpot, however, when Mara, a doctor, and Ivo, creative director of an advertising agency, decide to take him home with them. Although they spoil him and fuss over him, not everything is as rosy as it seems. Fredy has noticed the tension between his master and his mistress. They have reached that thorny seventh year of their marriage, and what begins with small jibes and provocations expands into veritable marital strife. And someone becomes increasingly caught between the two fronts: Fredy.
