Born in 1969 in Bern, Switzerland. Upon obtaining his A-levels, he studied acting at the H.B.-Studio in New York under the direction of Uta Hagen. Ulli is a father of two children and since 1993 lives and works as an actor, producer and director in Zurich. In 1996 he received the Public Award - Best Upcoming European Actor at the Geneva Film Festival “Stars de demain”, for his role in NACHT DER GAUKLER. In 2014 he was nominated for the Swiss Film Award for his performance as a drug addict in I’LL BE THE GOALIE (Der Goalie bin ig). Ulli was founder of and producer at Off Off Bühne (1994-2004) and is the producer at Independent Theater Produktionen and Spielplatzfilme GmbH. Since 2008 Ulli is co-owner and managing director of Stamm Film AG, Switzerland’s third-oldest distribution firm.
