Singer-songwriter Pippo Pollina and the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory of Zurich undertake a 17-day tour of Italy. This film accompanies the project – from the initial rehearsals to the performances. Conductor and composer Massimiliano Matesic rearranged Pollina’s songs for a symphony orchestra and taught them to the young musicians. While the canzoni of songwriter Pippo Pollina collide with common perceptions of classical music, the audience experiences interaction as well as boundaries, different and common languages, differences in mentality and power structures.
