Twelve films from Switzerland will be screened at the 38th Annecy International Animation Film Festival (June 9-14, 2014). Ten Swiss short film productions and coproductions will be screened in competition, with four in the International Competition as well as four in the Graduation Films Competition section. Furthermore, “Timber” by Nils Hedinger celebrates its international premiere in Annecy. The Swiss short film production “Timber” by Nils Hedinger celebrates its festival premiere in the International Short Film Competition, as well as the French-Swiss coproduction “Le sens du toucher” by Jean-Charles Mbotti-Malolo. Also in the running for an award in this section are the Swiss-German coproduction “Patch” by Gerd Gockell, lecturer in the Animation Department at the Lucerne University of Applies Sciences and Arts (HSLU), and the award-winning Swiss-French coproduction “Hasta Santiago” by the Italian filmmaker Mauro Carraro.

The fourth film is “Espero?” by Swiss filmmaker Simone Giampaolo, who studied at the Bournemouth University. Annette Schindler, artistic director of the Fantoche International Animation Film Festival in Baden, is a jury member of this section.

Geneva based Nadasdy Film presents five films in Annecy
