Swiss film producer and distributor Christoph Daniel joins the SWISS FILMS board of trustees, effective immediately.

Christoph Daniel, born in 1984 in Zurich, is the co-founder and managing director of DCM in Berlin. DCM attained its international breakthrough as a film production company within a short time with its first film “Waffenstillstand” (2009), followed by such successful international coproductions as “Kon-Tiki”, Dustin Hoffman’s directorial debut “Quartett” or the film adaptation of Nick Hornby’s bestseller “A Long Way Down”. The most recent DCM productions include the children’s film trilogy “Bibi & Tina” as well as the refugee drama “Mediterranea”. Since 2010 DCM has also distributed films in Germany. Apart from its own productions, the best-known distribution titles include such international hits as “The Artist”, “La grande bellezza” or “Carol”. In addition, DCM distributed the Swiss box-office hits “Dürrenmatt” and “Schellen Ursli” in Germany. In 2013 DCM expanded its distribution activities to include Switzerland. Christoph Daniel lives and works in Zurich and Berlin.

The SWISS FILMS Foundation is the promotion agency for Swiss filmmaking. On behalf of the Federal Office of Culture, SWISS FILMS reinforces the international dissemination of Swiss film productions with support measures and promotional activities.
