Suiza en Lima – Discovering Switzerland
In partnership with the Festival de cine de Lima SWISS FILMS selected nine engaging films, all of them acclaimed international festival hits.

A big dark cloud is rapidly approaching and covering Switzerland… what is happening? Is this the end of Switzerland? In the collective film "Heimatland" (Locarno 2015), ten young Swiss filmmakers imagine how the Swiss would deal with the worst possible disaster: the downfall of their country.
The programme "Discovering Switzerland" is the opportunity to discover films by established Swiss filmmakers such as Ursula Meier ("L'enfant d'en haut" – Special Prize at Berlinale 2012), Lionel Baier ("La vanité", Cannes 2014), Micha Lewinsky ("Nichts passiert", Zurich Film Festival 2015) or Stina Werenfels ("Dora oder die sexuellen Neurosen unserer Eltern", Berlinale 2015).
Also films by new talents like Tobias Nölle ("Aloys", Berlinale 2016), Simon Jaquemet ("Chrieg", San Sebastian 2015), or Esen Isik ("Köpek", Zurich Film Festival 2015), will show their first features with a huge international response. Last but not least, don’t miss the documentary "Above and Below" by Nicolas Steiner, “one of the year’s most remarkable cinematic discoveries” (Peter Debruge, Variety).
