Between October 24 and December 22, 2020, people living in the border area of Switzerland or France were allowed to stay in Germany for 24 hours without having to go into quarantine. The new rules have an impact on life: empty gyms, bustling drive-ins, and stricter controls at border crossings. A 24-hour visit to Germany shortly before the second lockdown.
