The 11-year-old Anna, who single-handedly keeps her broken family going, is already well on the way to being an adult. She undergoes the problems of puberty and at the same time loses her mother who drank hopelessly. After dreaming aloud to 13-year-old Micky about seeking her father who lives abroad, Anna sets off to do just that. She finds him, or rather he finds her, but not in the way she had planned. A story of family life that is more melancholy than gloomy, told with much humour and a certain gentle irony.
