In Switzerland, 390 kilometres of the railway network have disappeared in a hundred years, in France 40'000 kilometres. A young man sets off from his village in the Swiss mountains to revisit the landscapes he knew as a child in France. He only wants to travel on the railway lines that are closest to the line. But this journey becomes increasingly complicated: the network of branch lines is in very poor condition and there are hardly any trains left.
