Dying at home, in your own bed, while you are asleep – this is what one would prefer, but it's not the reality. The majority of elderly people spend their last years in retirement homes, places that often conjure up fears and anxiety in most people. This film portrays the residents and staff of a retirement home, whose daily lives revolve around “Palliative Care”. This concept strives to improve the quality of life for incurable patients up until the end. This film documents the pros and cons of this treatment and attempts to erase some of the prejudices and negative clichés surrounding it.
