Backstage – life behind the scenes – largely invisible, shrouded in mystery and essentially unknown. Be it in the theatre, for television productions or at open-air festivals, the audience rarely even takes note of the crew backstage. We wanted to document these people: learn more about their passion for music, discover what inspires them during their daily work and understand more about the appeal of their work. The documentation was filmed at the Gurten Festival near Bern and illustrates the crew’s motivation and dedication, as well as their thoughts on show business.
