A long meditation on emptiness – the emptiness of images, of the cinema, of the city. Berlin appears hollow, in black and white. Wim Wenders with his bent frame and soft voice, is strolling along. Jean-Luc Godard makes a few comments, and Jean Nouvel traces out buildings under construction. Static shots depict shifting frontiers. A motionless road movie with long panning shots that lead to vanishing points. Keeping on the move is the only certainty.
