Beromunster made headlines because of naturalisation proceedings: The community refused three times to grant two young women the right to Swiss passport. Both women – twins – come from Kosovo, but were born and raised here. Actually, no one wanted to speak in the film – neither the community authorities who were in favour of the naturalisation, nor the citizens who voted against it. No one from Beromunster wanted to appear in the media again after all the humiliation. The film looks into the background of these proceedings and the general atmosphere in this community of the Wynental, with its history-making name.
