An archive portrait of Thomas Sankara, the man who became president of Burkina Faso at the age of 33 and wanted to transform his country’s mentality. He shaped the history of Africa, attempted to challenge the world order and instilled fear in his powerful contemporaries in the 1980s. He died on October 15, 1987, and to this day his tragic death has not been entirely solved. Twenty-five years later, the film documents in sound and image statements by this extraordinary head of state who undoubtedly ranks among the most important political leaders in Africa in the 20th century.
