His life is just as dazzling as his filmography: born as the son of a film pioneer, Christian Schocher succumbed to his fascination of the screen already as a small child. At the age of 21 he took over the local cinema from his father in the village of Pontresina, where he himself operated the projector for 45 years. He also shot films, some of which were created under the most adventurous conditions, without a script or dialogue, but instead with an unbridled desire to experiment. An encounter with the great unknown in Swiss filmmaking.
