After their prison escape, two thieves find themselves overwhelmed by the Christmas spirit in the city. They steal a Christmas tree, an offertory box and a car. Their crash through the customs barrier at high speed leads to their arrest. The customs officers tie the thieves to a tree and squander the money from the offertory box at a cabaret.
