One night long ago, having left his wife and child, Francisco wants to die. Only the look he gets from Bruna, a child, a neighbour who is unable to spleep, prevents him from carrying out his intention. Six years later nothing has changed. Francisco remains shut into his tactium solitude and Bruna is emerging into-blown adolescence. She, along with a couple of friends, discover that men in general are happy to give to young, pretty and good-natured women. They only have to ask and they take full and shameless advantage of this. The world is bad, but they're doing allright out of life. The death of his wife in a village in the south interrupts Francisco's blind routine. Troubled for the first time in may years, his look meets the eyes of another person – the laughing eyes of Bruna. Curious, the girl gets close to this man who has no space for anyone. Little by little Francisco comes back to life. And Bruna understands that there are some things that can't simply be asked for.
