The two-part television documentary . lm “Das Zürcher Schauspielhaus – Mythos oder Wirklichkeit” tells the background story of the theater located at Pfauenplatz, using historical . lm documents, anecdotes and statements from witnesses of each time period – from its founding to the present day. The documentary . lm not only illustrates the artistic highlights which helped the “Pfauen” gain its high standing among German-speaking theaters, but also deals with the political turbulence which shook the theater time and again.
