New Year’s Eve, 2000: despite the pessimists’ worst fears, the earth continued to orbit the sun and everything remained the same, and even improved. Progress was hailed. No one really needed to worry about the future – or so it seemed. This spirit found expression in the attitude towards life of the DJ and wannabe womaniser, Anti, and his friends. As a product of the techno culture in the late 1990s, the characters refuse to grow up and live a life of drugs, sex and music. The carefree approach in the 21st century proves to be ephemeral, however, and the only thing remaining in the end is loneliness and a yearning for love.
