Delhi’s Kathputli Colony slum is India’s largest community of traditional artists. Puppeteers, musicians, dancers as well as laborers live here. But this is about to change forever. The government has decided that this slum is to be demolished, its people resettled in high-rises. Young residents Vijay, Kusum and Rahul soon find themselves at the center of a unique and creative resistance movement against the government.
Against the backdrop of the impending demolition, the personal and the political merge as the protagonists come of age in unexpected and sometimes tragic ways.
