Several hundred Swiss joined the international brigades. and how many joined the French Army to stand up against the Nazis? Incredibly, this is a subject no historian has ever tackled! This film follows in the footsteps of a number of Swiss who shed their blood in the ranks of the Free French Forces in a voluntary effort to defeat the armies of Hitler. Switzerland is the only country to have condemned such action on the part of its citizens. Even as recently as last year (2003) the Swiss parliament refused to grant them an amnesty!
