The portrait of an eighty-four-year-old trauma surgeon through the eyes of a filming daughter who, after the break-up of her own family, explores the question of what remains of her original family. And what it means for the closest relatives when the father provides development aid 15'000 kilometres away for years. A trip to a hospital in the Pacific Solomon Islands is a tender, honest and humorous attempt to get closer as father and daughter when it is actually already too late.
