Reto Bantli, a Swiss citizen, who was employed as a long-distance driver by a Finnish transport company, disappeared without trace in the north of Kazakhstan. His body, which was only found years later, showed that he had been shot. The film follows his trail from Switzerland to Finland, then across Russia to Kazakhstan.
