Villi Hermann and the cameraman Hugues Ryffel accompany the photographer Jean Mohr on three trips on Japan, Pakistan and Russia. Three very different reportages, three unusual subjects, three of Jean Mohr’s passions. In the first part (Evoquer la musique), Mohr follows the japanese tour of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, with its conductor Armin Jordan. In Pakistan (Etablir un rapport) he meets again Abdul Sattar Edhi, whose social work he had discovered on an earlier visit. In Moscow (A la recherche des photos confisquées), he searches for some of his negatives, confiscated 20 years earlier, when he was doing a reportage on so-called dissident artists. He meets some of these, like Dimitri Krasnopevcev, Leo Kropivnitski and Juri Sobolev, who have in the meantime become renowned worldwide.
Villi Hermann e l’operatore Hugues Ryffel seguono il fotografo Jean Mohr in tre viaggi, attraverso il Giappone, il Pakistan e la Russia. Tre reportage molto diversi fra loro, tre soggetti insoliti, tre grandi passioni di Jean Mohr. Nel primo episodio (Evoquer la musique), Mohr segue la tourneé giapponese dell’Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, diretta da Armin Jordan. Il secondo (Etablir un rapport) documenta un viaggio in Pakistan, dove Mohr incontra nuovamente Abdul Sattar Edhi, del cui lavoro in ambito sociale si era giˆ occupato durante una precedente visita. A Mosca (A la recherche des photos confisquées) il fotografo va alla ricerca di negativi che gli erano stati confiscati una ventina d’anni prima, mentre stava realizzando un reportage su alcuni artisti “dissidenti”. Ne incontra anche alcuni, come Dimitrij Krasnopevcev, Leo Kropivnitski e Jurij Sobolev che, nel frattempo. sono diventati famosi in tutto il mondo.
