The story of Movsar, a young political refugee from Chechnya, currently living in France. In retracing the steps of his journey to exile, the film slowly penetrates an interior landscape through video correspondences between him and his family back home. Echoing Movsar's story are those of others, both strangers and family, on the subject of how identity is defined through the experience of living abroad.
