Just for a change, Julie Lescaut finds herself hunting down a mysterious serial killer, between Geneva and Paris, in the company of Inspector Frescobaldi of the Geneva police. The story begins as a couple and their child perish in a bungalow on the outskirts of Paris which has been deliberately set ablaze. Two love stories serve as a background to the plot.
