The film tells the 20-year story of the city of Bern’s refuge and contact point for drug users from the so-called Fixerstübli (literally: mainlining parlor) to today’s contact point and counseling center of the foundation Contact Netz. The film shows not only the inside view – Fixerstübli/Contact seen through the eyes of the staff and the drug users in their orbit
– but the social and political context and tensions surrounding the center as well.
