The story of one summer in a valley which sees half of the world go by, but where the trains no longer stop and the factories have long closed. It is also the story of Roberto, once employed in the fortresses of the Swiss Army and now a bus driver, and Roberto’s love affair with a Russian chambermaid. Marina is a foreigner and is well aware of the fact. She is prepared to fight for her survival, and the survival of her son Kiro. It is a story in which love does not always triumph, over doubts and differences.

La storia di un'estate in una valle da cui passa mezza Europa e dove i treni non si fermano piu. Una valle dalle fabbriche chiuse. E'anche la storia di Roberto, un ex-impiegato dei forti che diventa autista di autobus e della sua storia d'amore con Marina, una cameriera russa. Marina non è di qui e se ne accorge. Marina lotta per il suo futuro e per quello di suo figlio Kiro. Una storia nella quale l'amore non sempre riesce a superare differenze e insicurezze.
