Alpine cheese has been made high up on the Hinderist hut on the Wasserberg for generations. Since 2007, for the first time, a woman has been processing the milk obtained from the hut's own alpine pastures into a multi-award-winning, top-quality cheese. Her certified organic cheese is now popular far beyond the borders of Central Switzerland. This success is due to sustainable working methods, exemplary animal husbandry and the unique flora of the alp on the Wasserberg.
