Taxis are a microcosm of their own. Fleeting moments of intimate theatre in an atmosphere of anonymity that encourages openness, with occasional outbursts of emotion or bouts of melancholy and reflective silence. Taxis are an invitation to travel. The filmmakers board a number of taxis and allow themselves to be spirited away by the drivers and their clients into a microcosm with unexpected twists and turns.
